Tosha Pierce has over 28 years yrs. of body movement analysis as well as 16yrs. work experience as a physical therapy aid and technician. She accommodates on a daily basis such conditions as: Low Back Pain (Stenosis, Spondylolisthesis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Herniations), Sciatica, Hip, Knee, Neck and Ankle ailments, Shoulder problems, Scoliosis, Fibromyalgia, MS, Posture/Kyphosis/Lordosis, and Breathing problems. She has practiced as physical therapy aid for Sports and Spine Chiropractic specialist Dr. Yoav Nagar (DNS Practictioner) and at Cahill Physical Therapy in California.
Tosha Pierce grew up outside Cincinnati, OH with a family of artists. She was introduced to movement at an early age. In youth she studied at the Cincinnati Ballet Company and watched her mother perform as a mime having studied with the legendary Marcel Marceaux. Her musical ear was sharpened by influence of her father’s work in radio as well as compositions of his own work. For years Tosha competed, performed, and studied various theater and dance programs throughout Ohio, (Ohio State University, Cincinnati Ballet Co.) and Northern/Southern CA. She acquired and won numerous scholarships through honorary academics, theater, music, and dance to then be able to pursue her work continually in the arts. She attended and graduated the American Academy of Dramatic Arts/WE where such actors as Robert Redford, Danny DeVito, and many others attended. After graduating in 1995, she began her 16yrs. career span, dancing and performing the world.
She has performed numerous stage shows for Disneyland, Disney’s El Capitan theater, dancing and singing for Fullerton C.L.O., and Riverside C.L.O. Dancing for McCoy/Rigby Entertainment in the musical ‘Swing!’, she received a 2006 LA Ovation Nomination for Best Ensemble which also won for Best Choreography. She has toured the world visiting Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Bahrain, London, the Caribbean, and Alaska performing in award winning productions for Holland America Cruise Lines and Franz Harary’s World Illusionist Tour.
Since then, Tosha has performed in a wide range of film and television credits expanding her swing dancing and adage styles for the wonderfully acclaimed Debbie Allen and swing dance legend Norma Miller. Other credits include: Be Cool, The Majestic, The Old Settler, the Ellen Show, stunt work for the Vanquisher, Richard III, When Zombies Attack series, and many more. Her physical challenges now include mixed martial arts (Danny Inosanto Academy), Capoeira, Escrima (Filipino martial arts), and hand pulls/wire work for stunts. Her most recent physical achievement in 2021, during the pandemic, is her achievement of a black belt in tae kwon do.
Tosha is a NCPT(Pilates Method Alliance/National Certified Pilates Trainer-2007 ) Certified instructor. She gladly brings her knowledge and skills to helping the public within her own practice. She is well versed in Mat work, Reformer, Wunda and Cadillac/Trapeze, emphasizing Joseph Pilates classic techniques. It is her belief and passion that the power of pilates can be the essential element to gaining that next level of ones physical goals, complete healing and is a life changing method.
